LAI Srl provides professional technical support and full-service maintenance contracts for biogas plants, gas engines and cogeneration systems throughout Italy. Our maintenance service covers plants built by LAI as well as those built and installed by other companies. Our goal is to ensure continuous plant operation, minimise unplanned downtime and keep system performance at optimal levels over time, protecting our customers’ investment and maximising energy sales revenue.

Our team of specialized technicians is based at our headquarters in Cerreto Guidi (FI) and can reach anywhere in Italy with mobile workshops equipped with professional diagnostic instruments, specialist tools for leading engine brands and a stock of fast-moving spare parts for emergency on-site repairs.
Our dedicated 24/7 phone line ensures that in the event of a fault or anomaly, the plant can receive immediate technical support. Our on-call technician can carry out an initial remote diagnosis by accessing the plant's supervisory system via VPN. If an on-site visit is needed, our technicians are dispatched promptly, with priority given to plants covered by a full-service contract.
We offer several types of maintenance contract, tailored to plant size, annual operating hours and the level of coverage required.
The scheduled maintenance contract includes periodic overhauls at fixed engine-hour intervals, with planned replacement of wear parts—filters, belts, spark plugs, valves and bearings—and checks of the plant's electrical and thermal performance. The comprehensive full-service contract also covers unplanned downtime, spare parts and major overhauls at 30,000–60,000 hours, for a fixed monthly fee that makes operating budgets easier to manage.
We maintain an in-house spare parts warehouse stocked for the main engines we service—MWM, Jenbacher, MAN, Guascor, MTU and Deutz—and a well-established supplier network to source specific components quickly. For every plant covered by a contract, we keep a service history and records of operating parameters, providing the basis for planning future maintenance predictively.
